Criteria

Outreach + Networking

  • Experience developing market intelligence, including information on clients and competitors in designated market sectors, especially related to future projects
  • Experience identifying and initiating connections with and introductions to decision-makers and decision-influencers within designated market sectors
  • Experience representing a design firm with potential clients, project partners, and collaborators to build relationships
  • Experience creating direct and indirect advocacy affiliations to expand the firm’s competitive position
  • Experience developing and taking part in presentations to clients, potential clients, and affiliated stakeholders, with Principals

Marketing + Communications

  • Experience building a brand through messaging, marketing, and communications
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with digital marketing and social business platforms
  • Experience working within the architecture and design environment, including understanding of typical structure, project management, and office systems

Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Business required
  • 10 or more years of professional experience in a marketing position
  • Experience in developing highest quality marketing materials — graphic and written, printed and digital

Bonus Points

  • Ability to contribute toward the practice of architecture and design by enhancing the firm’s service offerings or capabilities
  • Professional degree in architecture or a related design discipline
  • Advanced Adobe InDesign skills
  • Experience with CRM software such as Cosential or Pipedrive
  • Experience with PR distribution platforms such as mynewsdesk or equivalent
  • Experience with Ajera, Newforma, OpenAsset, and Synthesis
